New York State has about 2,625 miles of coastline according to NOAA and more than 7,600 lakes according to the Department of Environmental Conservation. This diverse geography has enriched the lives of the people living in this area for generations. Providing important commerce routes, livelihoods, and recreation even before our State’s founding. These paintings masterfully celebrate the beauty and importance of water in our lives.
Sam Paonessa
Thundering Waters, Niagara on the Lake – A delicate painting of one of the world’s largest waterfalls. About 3,160 tons of water flows over Niagara Falls every second, Sam Paonessa captured the scale of this wonder masterfully in this work
We’re looking forward to scenes like Sam Paonessa’s Lazy Afternoon, Niagara on the Lake.

Janet Richardson Baughman
“I find inspiration in my surroundings and environment. Small vignettes of tranquility are drawn from the property my husband John and I own in Northern Michigan. The land and the meadows flow together to create a distinct landscape, captured with atmospheric effects that the human eye interprets, rather than the clear focus of a camera.” – Janet Richardson Baughman
